For about 1-2 weeks or so, when I delete the tiny box at the top-left corner of the post writing platform, the cursor disappears and I cannot write anything and/or post any image at all. If I don't delete it, this happens (see below). I guess this doesn't happen to everyone, or might only befall me. | Probably the best solution is don't delete that tiny little box, it does not seem to have any effect on a post, I just ignore them, they will not show up in your post. |

Go to your member Control Panel and look for Edit Profile, look for this option: Enable the WYSIWYG post editor See if you have that marked Yes or No. |

^ It was marked as "no". I've turned it into "yes". And that didn't work...  BTW, when I carry that tiny box to the lower side of the platform, that gibberish stuff also goes there. Well thats weird, I got rid of my gibberish by switching to Yes, and it went away and then I went back to NO and it stayed gone. I guess your problem is unique, contact one of the admins. In the meantime, maybe try switching back to No and see what happens. |

^^ I made it yes-no alternately a couple of times, it unfortunately doesn't solve the problem. Thank you two, anyways. I'll try it with another browser sometime, and see if this annoying thing is related to something on my Chrome. I've been having the same problem recently too where my cursor disappears and then I get a load of unwanted computer gibberish every time I post a message, but this only occurs when I'm using my new Brave browser. If I post a message using Google Chrome - which I'm using now - then it works just fine.

Have you tried to log in via another browser (Goo..., Firefox, Edge....)? For a while it made quite a difference for me: I couldn't even post from Firefox (my preference) for a few months and when I did manage it, there was that bloody gibberish messing up my post. But from Edge, it was fine, though the gibberish appeared now & then. (the problem seems totally fixed for me nowadays). That little square was also annoying, and still appears now & then, but does not hinder anything. ------------- let's just stay above the moral melee prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword |

Also, works fine now on Chrome. The fonts of the writing rectangle've changed (& got a little larger), plus that small box/square is totally gone. Anyhow, my problem is solved. Thanks for your feedback, y'all.

Lastly, I wanted to add that I most probably did the "yes-no" thing wrongly; that is, I initially clicked the corresponding buttons of the "Notify me by email when I receive a Private Message" option. So, you most probably are right in saying that action solves this issue. |

Oops. I have to use a different rectangular typing/posting area, if I'll do it on Chrome, I guess. I cannot directly put images this way (I can always put the links, no problem), and also the smileys are shown in BBcodes. If I make it "no" again, that tiny box/square returns, and so does that gibberish annoyance... I unerringly have tried this multiple times. No big deal, I presume.
