Hard to beat Foxtrot, but Hackett and Phillips have great albums in this list. Gabriel a little behind.

My vote goes to an album I spent a lot of time with back then: Tony Banks' Soundtracks. I love the Quicksilver score, and "Lion of Symmetry" with Toyah on lead vocal.

It's hard to top Foxtrot. It's a world where hampers are expected to be taped to my face.

1. Sides
2. Defector
3. Foxtrot
4. But Seriously
5. Living Years
6. Soundtracks

Peter Gabriel 4 (Security) would have been a better album if only "Soft Dog" had replaced "Kiss of Life".

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

To be honest, Paul, those systematic polls don't make much sense to me.

It's not only about the obvious winner, but about your secondary choices too of 2nd, 3rd & 4th place and just for the fun of taking part. Smile

Then you can make a guess about my 2nd, 3rd and 4th place. LOL

Okay, I find it interesting with these total polls, but it would be better with separated polls for the main band and for solo artists.

The results of the previous Genesis Solo poll with Genesis and Ray Wilson not included:-

1. Peter Gabriel - Peter Gabriel 4 (Security) (24)
2. Steve Hackett - Defector (7)
3. Anthony Phillips - Sides (4)
4. Phil Collins - But Seriously (3)

But okay, it can be interesting too to compare solo artists with the mother band, even imo more meaningful if the albums are from the same decade. Smile

But Seriously, without Genesis in the poll, Phil Collins managed to pick up three votes, which was surely Against All Odds. Smile

Surely better not to talk with me about Phil Collins, even I actually was fond of But Seriously for a couple of years after its release - but then not so proud of it today. Big smile

But Seriously though, I have eight CD albums by Phil Collins in total - which is more than I have by Tony Banks, Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett & Anthony Phillips put together - although that's mainly because Phil Collins' albums tend to keep turning up at charity shops and car boot sales. Tongue

My total total Genesis collection is of 6 albums. Still, it's my largest total collection of any artist, even I have the same amount of
albums by Pink Floyd.

My largest CD collection is Les Baxter with 32 albums followed closely by Santana with 30 albums and Genesis way behind with 11 albums. Smile
