^ That boring US album cover is all of the Country without the Life, back when album covers featuring pin-up models were the bread and butter of Roxy Music albums, especially in the case of Country Life, when I'd buy an album adorned with beautiful girls just for The Thrill of It All. |

^ Ironically, the only Roxy Music album I bought on the original vinyl was Avalon, which didn't feature any lovely women on the cover at all, so maybe I'm not so shallow after all.

The lady in the costume on the 'Avalon' cover is Lucy Helmore, Ferry's girlfriend (soon to be wife). They divorced in 2003, and Lucy Helmore unfortunately took her own life in 2018. I was very disappointed with the Manifesto, Flesh + Blood, and Avalon covers after the standard of the previous five.

A 'complete' recording from the 'Country Life' tour in Newcastle in 1974. This album omits 'The Bogus Man' which can be found from that concert on the 'Viva' Roxy Music live album.  |
