In mid November of 2023 I submitted payment to CD BABY to upload my new album to the various music websites.
CD BABY no longer deals with Pro Publishing so I paid BMI in December. I received an IP number and submitted it to CD BABY.
Still no word from CD BABY. No emails to confirm that they are uploading the album to websites.
They definitely received the money. I continued to check their website and above the dashboard page it states that the CD BABY website will be closed for a week in February.
If anyone can offer an explanation I would greatly appreciate it. Two months have gone by and there is no effort to communicate with me. I have paid all the necessary fees and I get zero results. Can you explain this?

The moment CD Baby ditched .mp3 downloads, it was the end for me. I'd recommend giving CD Baby a middle finger like I did, and instead using Bandcamp + Distrokid. B)

Thanks! I haven't worked with Distrokid because you have to pay a fee every year or they take your music down. Nevertheless I might go with them anyway. It's unlikely that CD BABY will refund my account for services they have not rendered. It's the principle. I'm doing this because it's fun. Playing in bars is not fun. Playing that kind of music is a nightmare. A lie
