This is the fifth poll that I have done covering albums included in the discographies of Prog Archives band/artist listings where I list one release per five year period (one for 1965 to 1969, one for 1975 to 1979 etc.) I also have done four (or was it five?) polls with the same concept for releases not included in the Prog Archives database.

Multiple votes allowed, please vote for up to three (or more if such limitations are too restrictive for you). And please vote no more than once per album. Additionally, feel free to vote even if you have very limited knowledge. Comments on the selections are appreciated even if not on the positive side, and feel free to mention your own favourites off any of the albums. I hope some will come up with their own lists and polls. I don't only like to share that which I like, I like to check out what others like.

East of Eden "Moth" (Mercator Projected, 1969)
Brave New World "The End" (Impressions on Reading Aldous Huxley, 1972)
Bubu "El viaje de Anabelas" (Anabelas, 1978)
    Dün "L'épice" (Eros, 1981)
Dead Can Dance "Advent" (Spleen and Ideal, 1985)
    U Totem "Vagabond's Home" (U Totem, 1990)
Swans "Helpless Child" (Soundtracks for the Blind, 1996)
Explosions in the Sky "Your Hand in Mine" (The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place, 2003)
Espers "Rosemary Lane" (The Weed Tree, 2005)
William D. Drake "Me Fish Bring" (The Rising of the Lights, 2011)
Anna von Hausswolff "Ugly and Vengeful" (Dead Magic, 2018)
Sprain "Margin for Error" (The Lamb as Effigy, 2023)

I made a playlist of the choices in case someone wants to check out any of the music in the list.

I find immediately five to vote, so should I really listen to the playlist to make it even harder? CoolTongue

Seriously, thanks for this. Based on the quality of what I already know, I should really check out the other stuff. Smile

(But please do not answer telling me that I can vote for more than three if I want; I'm aware of that, but the game player nature that I am really doesn't like that.)

Thanks guys. And Christian, I actually like to limit my votes too. One way for me to do that when I like all the choices -- as with this poll because they're my choices -- and I see votes, is to limit my votes to those that have no votes yet.

I think I'll go with an epic bunch:

Brave New World "The End"
Anna von Hausswolff "Ugly and Vengeful"
Sprain "Margin for Error"

In a way I kind of like those polls where just one stands out, say when 11 of the choices are sung by Jacob Sartorius featuring Nicki Minaj's booty and the other is a can of soup. Or even better, Can's Soup.

Thank you so much for introducing me East of Eden. That was a treat.

My second vote goes to Espers who I knew beforehand but clearly not well enough it seems.

The rest I didn't care about to be honest.
