And I allow myself to participate in these threads with my rather small collection, when talking about number of albums of each artist.

What do you mean? I was referring to your original OP where you asked for listing the artists from ones collection with at least a handfull of albums.

I read that as if you were telling me I have a small physical collection (which I do) therefore I should list only those I own (not heard).

If you were looking at the OP in the first installment (the A's) then maybe that's what was said, but I later clarified that the criteria is 1. favorite band and album 2. output consisting of at least 2 albums.

But some tend to bend the rules as they always do Smile

I can see what David's getting at. How do we know what the "rules" are when there are no guidelines or instructions as to what we're supposed to do in the original post to this thread? It presupposes that everyone has been following this whole series of threads since the very first instalment (the A's), when there are several new members who've joined PA since then.  Confused

Ok, Paul - I see what the issue is now!

I didn't figure the "guidelines'' bear repeating since they would just become redundant after a while. I recognize we get new viewers and I don't intend on pushing anyone to obey a formula.

A - H have turned out successfully I should think; I purposefully post the thread topics vague (bands starting with the letter in question, and a single album selection)

Not sure whether this means I'm bending the "rules" but I go on using these threads for figuring out who my no. 1 prog artist is when it comes to number of albums. The letter H is won rather narrowly by Peter Hammill, and my favourite album of his (rarely mentioned!) is Patience.

I will also mention Hoelderlin, who are the band with most albums (even though not that many; Hackett and Hillage have more), as I like to feature their great Live-Traumstadt album, which I play regularly to this day. Ah, I realise I have more Henry Cow than Hoelderlin. Sorry. Tongue

I'm well aware of his talent and the respect he's held in by prog musicians but personally I have never been big on fusion so haven't checked out his solo stuff. I've only recently started listening to Bruford (who he played with a bit).
I don't know if you bother with youtube at all but drummer Andy Edwards is a massive fan and has his own channel so I'm sure you would find some interesting content on there. The Sea Of Tranquility gang also mention him a lot and cover a lot of fusion in general.
