You know how these things work...

It's Van Der Graaf Generator Time!

-------------
The Wheel of Time Turns, and Ages come and pass. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the shadow.

Let the Dragon ride again on the winds of time...

Can I do a 3 X 3 instead? I only like the first three Van der Graaf Generator albums. Geek

Pawn Hearts - A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers
H to He Who Am the Only One - The Emperor in his War-room
Godbluff - The Sleepwalkers
The Quiet Zone / The Pleasure Dome - Cat's Eye / Yellow Fever (Running)
The Least We Can Do Is Wave to Each Other - Darkness (11/11)
World Record - Meurglys III, the Songwriter's Guild
Still Life -  My Room (Waiting for Wonderland)
The Aerosol Grey Machine - Afterwards
Present - Nutter Alert
Trisector - Over the Hill

Not a 100% certain about order/song selection, but it's all great nevertheless

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

The following list I created over 3½ years ago but is essentially the same as the list I would create for this topic. However, it is in more-or-less chronological order rather than in order of preference. I actually had divided the list into an early period list and a late period list, a division that persists below:

Early Period:

1. Necromancer (The Aerosol Grey Machine)
2. After The Flood (The Least We Can Do Is Wave To Each Other)
3. Lost (H To He, Who Am The Only One)
4. A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers (Pawn Hearts)
5. Blackroom (Time Vaults)
6. The Boat of Millions of Years (I Prophesy Disaster)

Late Period:

1. Scorched Earth (Godbluff)
2. Still Life (Still Life)
3. A Place to Survive (World Record)
4. The Sphinx In The Face (The Quiet Zone / The Pleasure Dome)
5. Manuelle (Present - CD 2)
6. (We Are) Not Here (Trisector)
7. Mr. Sands (A Grounding In Numbers)
8. Aloft (Do Not Disturb)

-------------
No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.
