For one moment there, I thought you were Prog Aaardvark. Christopher Walken needs more cowbell, or they'll all be wearing gold-plated diapers - whatever that means. And what happened to Blue Oyster Cult anyway? Their 1979 album should have been reflected in this poll. Embarrassed

Yep, you have to look closely and skip most of Lindsey Buckingham's contributions to the album. But it's also a plus to be someone who likes mid to late 1970's era Fleetwood Mac to begin with.

I feel the same way about the overlong Tusk album. Lindsey Buckingham's solo, bare-bones productions sound like they were recorded in his garage - which they probably were. Tongue

Cheap Trick's At Budokan is a sterling example of angst-free bottled lightning.

I also love Rust Never Sleeps* and The Pleasure Principle (though I prefer the live versions of those songs).

*The same year, Neil also released Live Rust, which I prefer to RNS.

Rust Never Sleeps

-------------
let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

From this list, Tusk is BY FAR the best album.

It's the experimental, under-produced nature of this album that makes it not only a time capsule of its era, but also a true timeless masterpiece. Of its 20 songs, the only one even remotely non-essential to the entire album is Christine McVie's "Honey Hi". I say all this as someone who does not consider myself a Fleetwood Mac fan, but merely a fan of this album.

Same here, that one could've won my vote.

Agree. With the added screams of thousands of Japanese school girls. I saw the list and thought I might be the only one here to vote for it.
