Great news, that's it, the digital version of "Ainsi spoke hominina", Zhorhann's first album, is online!!!
(Unfortunately we will have to wait a few more days for the physical CD version :/)
"Ainsi parlait Hominina", is the first album of the French group rock in opposition, math rock, cartoonish progressive jazz rock - ZHORHANN
It was released on September 15, 2023 with the Luminol Records label, an excellent Italian progressive music label.
Following on from "La théorie des cordes", a first matrix project initiating this one, Zhorhann is also a musical narrator,
Looking for the meaning in the note, he motivates the sensitive use of Arts to thwart the norms, since the words, however well ordered they may be, Have led all living things to the dawn of their extinction.
Zhorhann, takes its name from the Zoran equation (equation of everything) taken from René Barjavel's book "La nuit des temps".
Musical storyteller, who persists in seeking balance.
He's a systems analyst, chasing dogmas.
Who likes to laugh and observe the ridiculous set up as norms.
Often flooded with these internal voices, he seeks felibre.
He strives to understand Sapiens from the heights of its beauty to the abyss of its stupidity,
Not to extract a certain moral from it or to stand as a judge of this show
But to forge the best possible path by understanding as best as possible the material of which it is made.
Instrumental musical project, a little Zappaian, with touches of Mr Bungle, Secret Chief 3, John Zorn, Naked City, Nirvana, Tex Avery, Pantera, Steve Coleman, Tigran Hamasyan...
Composed of three seasoned musicians from very varied backgrounds who enrich the subject.
Composition of the group for the trio recording:
Bass: Vincent Blandeau
Drums: Heiva Arnal
Guitar - composition - concept and mastering: Mathieu Torres
Mixing: Hugo Lemercier at the 'La Mercerie' studio in Mirepoix (09)
Artwork: Stéphanie Artaud
Layout and unconditional support: Sam Clou
Special thanks to everyone who contributed to making this album exist musically:
Baptiste Segonne - Mark Coote - Bruno Di Natale - Raoul Mendetambour - Camille Bigeault - Julien Langlois.
And thank you obviously to those who, through the exchange of moments of peace and friendship, make the musical language meaningful and useful.
Here this album focuses on Sapiens, its behavior, its originality, its beauty, its poetry, its shaky organization, its incoherent thirst for reason, justice and paradoxically for privileges... without sparing its ugliness as well as its stupidity... Eight pieces that dissect modern humans on the eve of their extinction.
Self-condemned by his comfortable lifestyle, he will prefer to maintain it even if it means disappearing, rather than daring to question it, frightened by the impossible movement of these monumental norms that he thinks he has engraved in the granite of his mountains. sacred. He fantasizes just as much the strength of his masters who dictate to him the tolerable content, of what they will call wrongly and in chorus, Thought but which is only an electric flood of stereotypes, ordered by neurosis and which is, in reality, closer to a sneeze than to an actual Thought. Inundated by the propaganda infused throughout the daily spectacle, Sapiens systematically misses its real individual power.
We hope through this act to flatter his narcissism, by offering him a mirror which, we hope, will be useful to him in this period when only revolution remains a serious option for life. Thus Spoke Hominina is obviously a nod to Nietzsche, it is a philosophical musical tale which despairs of seeing any Reason in this reality or the abstraction of the rules of the market, of lost individualism and of competition dogmatic have known how to pollute all thoughts to the point of prohibiting criticism, denying vital wickedness in favor of a hollow, marketing and narrow-minded benevolence... These religions of consumerist happiness have known how to proscribe the imagination necessary for questioning and transform the spiritual need into an individual quest for a lonely, meditative and fantasized peace...
Faced with the fire we can certainly learn to be at peace within ourselves and hold ourselves solely responsible for our happiness, but it seems above all useful to act concretely with the aim of extinguishing the flames that we have by elsewhere and in this example, ourselves triggered.
Aware that this act will remain useless, like Donquixote, this work, with all the ridicule that it displays with panache, still seemed to us a more relevant option than contemplating the scene without even attempting anything, than remaining impassively mute, in this state of hypnosis, generated by our uninterrupted overconsumption of spectacle.
