What is the cause of some posts having text such as:

Quote 1- Rush - 2112
2- Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells
3- <span style=": rgb240, 241, 245;">Jethro Tull - </span><span style=": rgb240, 241, 245;">Thick as A Brick</span>
<span style=": rgb240, 241, 245;">4-  </span><span style=": rgb240, 241, 245;">Genesis - </span><span style=": rgb240, 241, 245;">Suppers Ready</span><span style=": rgb240, 241, 245;"> </span>
<span style=": rgb240, 241, 245;">5- Twelfth Night - Sequences</span>
<span style=": rgb240, 241, 245;">6- Yes - Close to the Edge</span>
<span style=": rgb240, 241, 245;">7- The Alan Parsons Project - The Fall of the House of Usher</span>
<span style=": rgb240, 241, 245;">8- King Crimson - Lizard</span>
<span style=": rgb240, 241, 245;">9- </span><span style=": rgb240, 241, 245;">ELP - </span><span style=": rgb240, 241, 245;">Karn Evil 9</span>
<span style=": rgb240, 241, 245;">10- IQ - The Narrow Margin</span>
<span style=": rgb240, 241, 245;">
</span>

It has never occurred in any of my posts (that I'm aware of... I'm assuming that even the poster can see this text), so I have no idea how such posts appear before hitting the submit button. However, I am curious if the poster can do anything to avoid such postings.

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

I see that, too, from time to time. It's obviously HTML code, but I don't have a clue why it shows up like that. It could be a function of the sender's device/app, as opposed to anything wrong with yours.

I wonder if it might be because the forum software here hasn't been updated since 2014 and that this "feature" might have been fixed in a newer version. Just a guess.

So just a question here. When this whole thing dies at the side of the information highway due to lack of maintenance...where do we meet up again? Wink
