I was focused on the music of the time, new(er) bands back then.
If there was a band I forgot about it's Echolyn.

Suddenly I'm spoiled for choice and have to leave out a number of quite good albums (e.g., fine albums by Swans, Echolyn and Saga; after the top 5 there are some 10 albums at about the same level, and ranking the top 5 also feels like a random draw). The number 1 position though isn't quite up with many of those in previous years.

King Crimson - Thrak
Kong - Push Comes to Shove
Bjork - Post
Porcupine Tree - The Sky Moves Sideways
Eno & Wobble - Spinner
Adrian Belew - The Experimental Guitar Series, Volume 1: The Guitar As Orchestra
Gongzilla - Suffer
Primus - Tales from the Punchbowl
Mr. Bungle - Disco Volante
Anekdoten - Nucleus

Out of competition:
Cardiacs - All that Glitters Is a Mare's Nest (Live)
Mick Karn - The Tooth Mother (not on PA)
David Bowie - 1. Outside (Prog Related)

Whenever I realise I forgot something, I update my list. I have updated many of my lists in this series, some quite a bit later, when I realised something was missing.

I'm always checking these when I make these lists as multiple sources seem to always have different dates. Cardiacs own website has it 1992. According to Discogs it was a limited edition promo tape release in 92 and CD in 95. RYM also lists both the cassette in 92 & CD in 95. So I guess both dates are ok.
