It is finally here! The second to last Random Album Clash of the second phase (and probably the most anticipated one). You know the drill - vote and comment.
From the previous two polls, we have the following finalists: -'Moving Pictures' by Rush -'So' by Peter Gabriel -'Hybris' by Anglagard
*Yes, we have two finalists from the 80s, as they are with equal votes, this may change over the weekend, who knows*

Wow, This one was tough. Went with Animals just over Who's Next, Hemispheres, Trick of the Tail & SABB. Lots of great albums here.

^ Yes, it's trickier to decide than I thought too, but I'll go with A Trick of the Tail this time around.

All deserve to win this poll. I voted for Lizard, but I’ll be happy with any of these winning.

I think my vote goes for Who's Next, a wonderfully constructed album, with some of the greatest stadium rockers. Some giant songs, tight playing, great lyrics and an exieting creative energy underneath it all.

Octopus easily, though A Night at the Opera is a sentimental favorite.

One can debate the merits of prog/not prog, but Who's Next is one of the greatest rock albums of all time. The others are not.

It is mine, too! But seeing that 'The Wall' was with zero votes clicked something in me, and I wanted to correct this injustice. But after that, I would undoubtedly put 'Lizard' and 'Starless and Bible Black'.

Now this is a bunch of classic albums! They're all favourite in my book. If I have to single out one, I think I vote for Queen. Not necessarily because I think it is the best, but it is an album I can listen to any time, in whatever kind of mood I am... with a good dose of diversity.

| I will tell you. I think I haven't seen you participating in the first phase of Random Album Clashes, so this is probably why you are asking. This is the second phase.
The first one was essentially a series of polls for each year between 1964 and 2020, where fifteen albums were featured and the polls were on for a week. After this time of voting and commenting, we get one winner for each year who gets to 'clash' in the current phase, where we take a look at each decade [from the 60s up to the 2010s + 2020]. The most obvious albums, which include the ones you have mentioned, have purposely been omitted, as they would simply make the Clashes meaningless and uninteresting. For the same reason, you see 'Stand Up' by Jethro Tull representing 1969 and not ITCOTCK, which would have been the winner without a doubt. 'Close to the Edge' is nowhere to be found, and so are albums like TAAB, 'Aqualung', 'Mirage', 'Fragile', and so on.

As expected, this is the Champions poll with the most votes now. What is more interesting is that Genesis are entering the race for the Finals! 'Tales' is not too far behind but I doubt that they will collect many more votes.
