Here it is! The second phase of Random Album Clash is finally seeing the light of day!
Before introducing it, I would like to thank all the pollsters, PA-ers, progheads, and gentle giants that voted throughout all of these, and helped to make the series pretty entertaining.

After approximately half a year of voting and polling, we have the following stats (I could not resist):
-2871 votes spread across 57 polls (one for each year between 1964 and 2020), covering 855 albums by hundreds of different artists, prog and non-prog

-The most frequently featured bands are: Frank Zappa (19), Marillion (18), Porcupine Tree (17), Pink Floyd (16), The Flower Kings (14), King Crimson (13), Opeth (12), Dream Theater (11), Gong (11), Rush (11), The Tangent (11), David Bowie (10), Jethro Tull (10)

-The most frequent winners are: IQ (6), Marillion (5), Porcupine Tree (4), Pink Floyd (4), King Crimson (4), Rush (4), Big Big Train (3)

-The bands that have won every time they were featured are: Queen (twice), GY!BE (once), Logos (once), Moon Safari (once), Talk Talk (once), Wobbler (once)

As for the second stage of RAC itself, it will consist of six polls, for each decade featured, which will have the winning album of each year clashing for the win!
*The only exception would be the 2010s poll that also features the winner from 2020*

So, I decided that we can start this stage not randomly but from recent times and work our way all through the 70s and the 60s!
Here you see the first of the two featured polls this week - 2010s+2020; Yes, we will tackle the 21st century albums this week.

As usual, vote and comment, have fun and let's see what will happen, as I am more than excited to see the outcomes of this stage of the Clashes.

Prog on!

I suppose Blackstar is going to - silently - take this one away, so I voted for Logos...
I actually don't know the Far Corner album, so I may have to check that one out.

It really is very good, deserving all the love it gets here.

Blackstar is such a phantastic, deep, and moving album. Would've liked to vote for Anekdoten but can't.

Far Corner. Anekdoten would be my second choice, followed by Logos.

An absolute incredibly extremely close call between Anekdoten and Bowie voted for Anekdoten

Surprisingly, not leading (yet?).
I really could not vote for anything else, although this decade had some other gorgeous and exciting things to offer.

Surprising or not, Big Big Train has a comfortable lead over Bowie and Anekdoten!
IQ were a dominant force in the first phase of RACs but their resistance is wearing thin now. Tongue

A small update: Big Big Train seem to be going to the finals without much competition at this point.
