Way to bring in the Knight name. Clever!

(Have to admit: I was expecting something Moonlit, if you know what I mean...)

P.S. (What about Brian Mc Knight?)

The first vote for ROXY MUSIC's best album (IMHO).
Romantic Warrior and Argus may be actually better in my opinion too, but Avalon has been personally dearer to me since my early youth.

The Hawkwind cover looks great in its original gatefold vinyl form, and it connects to the music itself...unlike the stunning Return to Forever artwork.

All worthy choices (even Gladys), but there has to be more albums on this site with a knight on the cover!

Argus... if only because it is a superb gatefold and the most important part is barely visible (the spaceship)

The only other one I know of that's prog or prog related is Charge by Paladin, but I think that would get less votes than Gladys Knight.

Argus, but it's not a knight. It's a Greek warrior (a hoplite, I believe).
But Argus is one of the most perfect albums ever recorded. There's not a bad second on it.

I didn't know that, but what I do know is that Argos was founded by the same man who brought us Green Shield Stamps. I only discovered today that Argos was bought out by Sainsburys in 2016, which wasn't a good move as most Argos stores are due to close by 2024. Confused

Correct - he's a tiny knight but he is definitely a knight killing a Gryphon

Gryphon's "ReInvention" also has a knight on the cover (of sorts - mythological)

What is with the Greek soldier? It's been mentioned before. Martin Turner of Wishbone Ash is the bloke under the helmet. He stated that the figure is a "medieval warrior" and the helmet, cloak and spear were borrowed from a movie set. And that he was naked under the cloak! No, the red cloak has nothing to do with the Spartans.
