Kreidler is a German band from Düsseldorf, the same town that produced Kraftwerk, Neu and La Düsseldorf, bands whose legacy Kreidler continues.  'Appearance and the park' was released in 1998.  The influences of the aforementionned bands is obvious : the hypnotic repetitive rhythms, the 'cheap'  keyboard textures and the tongue in cheek humour, but Kreidler managed to create a sound of their own.A part from one track with mock-English vocals the record is instrumental.  This record is not easily accesible,Kreidler has chosen a deliberately cold sound( imagine the soundtrack to an afternoon in a de-humanized shopping mall ). You have to listen to it several times to get their tongue-in-cheek humour and  the references to their elders,  but if you like Neu , Kraftwerk and Post-Rock bands  like Tortoise give it a try.
