I like DT, but Metropolis is one of my least favourite albums by them. There’s a lot to love in this selection, but I think my favourites are Anathema, Anekdoten and Sigur Rós. From this list I would pick TFK's Flower Power. My favorite from that year is the sole album from The Othello Syndrome - The Shadow of Dreams Other special mentions: Debut albums for IZZ, Argentina's Nexus, and Mexico's Códice. "Strange In Stereo", Agalloch "Pale Folklore", Opeth "Still Life", Porcupine Tree "Stupid Dream", Mr Bungle "California", Maudlin Of The Weel "My Fruit Psychobells..A seed Combustible", Sigur Ros and XTC "Apple And Venus Volume 1" 1999, great year for prog!
