Hi everyone!

Chromatic Aberration is a Neo-Prog musical collaboration between Steve Chait and myself (Joe Rubio). Both of us are huge fans of prog rock (especially Rush) and wanted to make a contribution to the genre we love so much.

Inspired by a four day hike of the Inca trail we did together in 2017, the 20 minute title track follows a fictionalized version of a new Inca king undertaking that same pilgrimage to prove himself worthy of the throne. It consists of several movements (and many time/tempo changes!) following his multiday journey until he arrives at Machu Picchu, where his throne awaits.

While the album's only on Bandcamp for now, it's currently in the process of being added to iTunes, Spotify, Youtube, Amazon, etc.

This site's helped me discover a ton of new music and I've always hoped I could write an album worthy of being listed here. It'd be great if it could be this one!

Thank you for listening!
Joe

I like it! The bass is very loud in the mix, but it has a nice sound so I enjoy. Very pleasant listening.
I wonder, is there a connection between your band and Native Construct? I ask because they have a (stellar) song called 'Chromatic Aberration'.
