Hey folks, I have a new single coming out with my band called Butler's

Experiment called Control. It's a college project song and hope that some

people will like it. It's definitely prog rock much to the horror of some of my

lecturers. Thought I would post a wee pic or two! Our band are based in

Glasgow and we have been playing for several years. Our main influences are

Rush, Marillion, Camel, Tears For Fears, Lettuce, Magma. We are on

Facebook if you want to check the band out and we have an album called

Torchlight Splinters which you can check on Spotify, Amazon, I-Tunes.

Currently we are unsigned and hope to be playing live in 2021 like everyone

else!! Once the new single is released you can listen, stream, but at Spotify,

Amazon, I-Tunes or go to our Facebook page and check it out. I hope

everyone had a good Christmas and New Years bash. Here's to a prog-filled

 2021.

Our band has the following members:-

Julz-bass guitar

Steve-vocalist

Chris-Drums

Eric-Keyboards, backing vocals

Garry-Guitar

We have our own Instagram and Twitter page if you want to contact us. You can

contact me, Garry on Facebook via messenger for more information.

Thank you so much, Rivertree! Sorry for the late reply. I've been so busy as I return to music college tomorrow-I have a lot to catch up with. I'm glad you like Torchlight Splinters-it was a long gestation for that album. I hope you like the new song, Control which will be released in March 2021 on Spotify. It will be up on our website before then but it will only be a snippet. Please keep up to date on our Facebook page and I'll gladly keep you up to date myself via email if you like. Are you in band? What music do you like?

Just listening to you guys on 'Spotify'.  Heard 'Black Swan' , 'Promises and Laughter' , 'Torchlight Splinters'
and 'Pandora'

The music seems quite an interesting combination of Prog and early 80's Indie, the vocals are very distinctive. Really promising sound.
Keep us informed of your releases and wishing you well.

Afternoon, Droxford. So sorry for the late reply. I was attending music college most of the day. Thanks for checking us out. Interesting you say 80's indie. A lot of us are child's of the '80s and love tonnes of 80's bands like Gary Numan, Echo and the Bunnymen, Bauhaus, Tears For Fears, The Police. Of course, with prog, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Marillion, Fish, Rush-you name it. Many folk don't like our vocalist. The reason why I chose Steve the singer-he's very unique! I'll definitely keep you up to date with our new release as mentioned before.

He actually reminded me of Michael Stipe! It's a very good start, although I didn't find it as prog as you said in your intro. There's an occasional wayward drum beat but it's pretty good.

Hope that you hang on to Steve the Singer, he gives the band a certain distinction. Yes, I see a Michael Stipe comparison !
Regards

Wow! Michael Stipe!!! Didn't expect that. Cool. Well, we are not a full on prog band. I suppose that is because of the different influences we mash together. I hope we make a second album once this crappy pandemic is over, Chopper.

Hi there, for me, influences fron Rush, Magma, Camel, Tears for Fears are very cool........but c'mon, Marillion.....yuck ! The latter is perhaps the most OVERRated prog band on Earth .....my 2 cents :):)
TY for the good vibes and rock on :)!!!!
