I just went through Rolling Stone's list of the top 500 albums of all time (It's full of crap but that's another topic), and I though: Well, how would such a list look like for prog albums... And I think it's a pity that you can only generate the top 250 on the site. Has the possibility of generating 500 been considered before? Would be cool, what do you think?

Yeah, I guess the limit is set, as otherwise related searches would consume too much bandwidth.

One can always calculate his/her "Top 500", though; whilst I presume barely anybody bothers to do that.

I wish the number could be expanded as well but since it's not you can try Rate Your Music. If you type in progressive rock on the RYM top 7500, you can scroll until your friggin fingers fall asleep.

Much more interesting actually since there are MANY more voters. The #1 Dark Side Of The Moon for example has over 50,000 ratings.

I meant a list off of ProgArchives. It should be helluva demanding work though. Opening the top lists of every subgenre, calculating by yourself and stuff.
