Is it possible to delete a profile from the website? And should the answer be positive, how?

I imagine an admin can either ban your account (if you ask) or just delete the profile completely. To my knowledge, there is no way for a member to terminate his own account, but I don't know for sure.

Good question. Is it me, or is this forum becoming as mad as the world around us?

It used to be a wee bit of a sanctuary.........

No, you cannot delete your own account. Only one of the admins can do that. However, I hope you will reconsider. I have read some of your comments, and found them worthy of note. This is a much nicer place than many others on the Internet, and I am sorry if something upset you to the point of making you want to delete your account.

Maybe you had better take the time and reconsider your decision. I also wanted my account and all my posts terminated once, when I was much younger, on a different platform. I now figure it is not that necessary.

Also, it is not a big deal. If you really want that to happen, just PM an admin.

Here is a nice place, methinks. Please give us some more chance. Star

I think he was saying he wants to delete someone else's profile, not his own.

His expression *might* be seeming like that. But if so, why? (Unless it is his old profile or something, in which case it is still his own profile, albeit not this one.)

^ Sorry, I was just kidding about him wanting to delete someone who was annoying him.

Definitely not. Love the forum. I was asking for an older profile whose outcome does not satisfy me.
Thanks to all for the responses! I'll contact an admin. Hug

Yes, Steve, wit is such a Fragile thing. Often, it's best not to attempt such A Venture, And You and I can only hope these stale word puns will end Soon. I can't wait for them To Be Over. Preferably before the Turn of the Century.

The correct answer is...no.

Profiles may be suspended or deactivated, but not deleted. Rest assured, as we are all sucked into the black hole that is 2020, the profile you wish to have deleted will somehow carry on in perpetuity.

Got it, the thing is that the reviews + ratings of my old profile are now deleted, which is essentially what I wanted.
