Hello!

My name is Artyom, and I'm here because of my new project called Raveny. It maybe not precisely prog rock, but I don't really know what other style-tag could describe what it is.

In the past I was experimenting with synthesizers for many years until I kind of lost the meaning of everything I was creating and playing. Then I first started learning to play violin hoping it'll give me a way to put "messages" into my music. But after 5 years of taking lessons and practice I found myself writing songs. And then adding more and more guitars into new sketches.

So, here's the first EP called "Uncivil". It's on the loud and angry side, which is a bit unusual for me, but that's just some "social" context that made me angry at some point, which in turn led me to writing these songs... because you know, sometimes you feel you're ready to start a revolution, but then if you're a musician you most likely end up writing another angry song. ¯\_(-_-)_/¯

Well, it can be found on https://raveny.bandcamp.com" rel="nofollow - Bandcamp .
Or on all major streaming platforms: https://go.raveny.net/spotify" rel="nofollow - Spotify , https://go.raveny.net/itunes" rel="nofollow - Apple , https://go.raveny.net/uncivil-google-play" rel="nofollow - Google , https://go.raveny.net/uncivil-youtube" rel="nofollow - YouTube , https://go.raveny.net/soundcloud" rel="nofollow - Soundcloud , etc.

I also plan to post some video covers and other stuff on https://go.raveny.net/facebook" rel="nofollow - Facebook and https://go.raveny.net/instagram" rel="nofollow - Intagram .

Hope you'll like it!

Very cool, it reminds me of Lunatic Soul (and he was Prog the last time I checked Wink)

I found interesting your move to the violin, I know from experience it's usual to get lost in the infinite sonic possibilities of the synthesizer and not getting anything done Embarrassed

You know, I was listening to Lunatic Soul when I've got the idea to come here! :)

Oh that's true! Tweaking some good synths can literally steal you away from people world. But I went through this to find myself being unnecessary on the stage surrounded by all my synthesizers. Then I started looking for a way to add some meaning when one of my friends started learning violin and I noticed some really good progress after a couple of months. And also I've got a couple of violinist friends who really knew how to make pleasurable sounds with their instruments. So, well, then I found myself thinking there's just no other choice. Not that it was a painful choice, though, I really enjoyed learning and love playing violin. And I hope one day I can play live everything I record in studio with hundreds of takes. :))
