Got nothing. Hard for me to listen to this band as Peter's voice is not pleasant.

I'm guessing you haven't listened to anything from Subterranea onwards. From Ever backwards, you may have a point, but it's absolutely remarkable how much Nicholls' voice matured and refined for Subterranea, and it's only got better and better as the years went by (no pun intended).

^Even the new material is difficult for me. Don't like his voice.

I’ve also realised I forgot It All Stops Here🤯🫢😠🤣

Will have to re-think this 😎

why that one in particular?

I do think that Frequency is their best 'technical' album but it seems that The Road of Bones and Dark Matter are generally more popular with the fans. The recent one has maybe divided opinion. Are they just repeating themselves? I like it but its hard to say that anything truly stands out. More a triumph of consistency rather than inspiration. Perhaps Martin Orford's departure in the mid 00's is now being fully felt.

I'm afraid yes they are, and that's why that was the only IQ album I truly actively didn't like. Re-visited it recently, not hating it now, but probably will never listen to it again

It’s also their only album that I don’t really like - except for The Great Spirit Way and a couple of others. I guess the next album will tell us whether they have lost their way, but I think Mike Holmes is too good for that….

I purchased all the IQ cds and the a boxed set plus some live albums.

I definitely listen to Road of Bones (both disks) the most, but really need to listen to everything else a few more times before I make a decision. Pretty much listened to everything once. I also really enjoy resistance.

Road of Bones (Disk 1)
Resistance
Road of Bones (Disk 2)
