It is a difficult one. I feel like I want to squeeze almost a third of their entire work into that list. But I will give it a go anyway. Am I supposed to make a top 10 with a 10th place, 9th place and so on, or just pick ten songs in no particular order?

So, in no particular order:
Yesterday
In My Life
Eleanor Rigby
For No One
Strawberry Fields Forever
A Day In the Life
I Am the Walrus
Hey Jude
Come Together
Something

But many other songs could easily have fit in. All these songs are painfully left out:
And I Love Her
Things We Said Today
Help!
We Can Work It Out
Norwegian Wood
Taxman
Tomorrow Never Knows
Penny Lane
Getting Better
Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kte
The Fool On the Hill
Happiness Is A Warm Gun
I'm So Tired
Blackbird
Long Long Long
Revolution 9 (!)
I Want You (She's So Heavy)

Day In The Life
You Never Give Me Your Money (their proggiest song in the symph prog sense and anticipates TYA/Fragile)
Something
Strawberry Fields Forever
Eleanor Rigby
Happiness Is A Warm Gun
Love You To
Penny Lane
Tomorrow Never Knows

1. Strawberry Fields Forever (my absolutely fave Beatles song and will always be!!)
2. Tomorrow Never Knows
3. a Day In the Life
4. Across the Universe
5. Dear Prudence
6. Because
7. Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)
8. Paperback Writer
9. You´ve Got to Hide Your Love Away
10. Every Little Thing

So much leave out!! And yes, Lennon is my fav, no George song make it (although love really many of his) at least there are one Paul song (Paperback). To me Beatles is not the greatest but most important band in pop music, because I believe all the popmusic (also prog) would have much more boring without Beatles (of course we will never know it because that alternative don´t exist).

the last one is because when I was child in the sixties we had a French exchange student called Michelle staying at our house for a while. She used to gently scold me in her lovely accent Approve . I remember thinking it was so fantastic that she had her own song lol.

While I don't think that any Beatles album is a 10/10, there are several songs of them which belong to the best I have ever heard.

And their undisputed best is I'm the Walrus. Followed by the fellow psychedelic stuff A Day in the Life and Strawberry Fields, and all 3 are basically by Lennon.

Finally, someone mentioned Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, which has been my favourite Beatles song every since I was young.

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.
