Pendragon have had to cancel the rest of the European tour (you may have seen Clive Nolan and Rachel Wilce on the BBC News earlier) and are heading home.

This may have a large financial impact on the band especially Nick and Rachel so we can all do our bit by buying Pendragon CDs etc from The Merch Desk.

Hi Alan. Didn’t see this on the news, because we have avoided the news for the past 24 hours for Corona saturation.

There is nothing on the website, or Twitter, yet.

Do you know please (he asks very selfishly) what the position is with Chepstow Winters End?

well, I managed to see Clive and Rachel on BBC News, via iPlayer. Very dignified display by the pair of them for a devastating outcome for a long planned tour.

I don't know, might be worth keeping an eye on their web site. It appears the Government may be about to announce a ban on "mass gatherings" so that may impact it.

If anyone wants to help the band out in these difficult times, someone has started a fundraising page https://www.gofundme.com/f/let039s-help-pendragon?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1&fbclid=IwAR2rPaic8oLHacfaOXuK7-MIkKkWvtAqSHUv17lEpM5I3OP7OPR2lzpSEuE" rel="nofollow - here .

Thanks for the link - I have made a donation, and hopefully this will help offset some of the losses.

Yes, I think you are right. Although, it will still expect me to sit or stand on jam packed trains and tubes in order to travel the length and breadth of the country to attend meetings.

Go figure😕

I bought the Love Over Fear vinyl. Only album I've bought in years. I actually bought it before everyone started canceling everything -- it's just that good an album, and I wanted to support.

Surely that's down to your employer (or maybe they are your employer?). Have they not heard of video conferencing?

Yep, had the email this afternoon.

Well, at least it is something to look forward to in 2021, unless, of course, the lurgy carts me of before thenDead

I haven't found anything official about it yet on their webpage?

Oh, i don't doubt their words :)  i might have mis-worded mines though.

I've seen one message about "the tour being cut short" on their Twitter. But as the two gigs in June and July are far away in months and are festivals and kind of out or at the end of the "normal" tour schedule i just wanted to be sure that those two festivals are cancelled as well ..

I don't know to be honest, I suspect they are too far ahead to be certain, I will try to find out.

The official word from Pendragon HQ is that all dates are postponed and they are looking to reschedule next year depending on availability of crew and band members. They've had no news from Cambridge Rock Festival or Night Of The Prog but you should probably assume they're postponed.
I would suggest you join Pendragon fan chat "The Mob" on Facebook to keep up with news.

Given that all major events are being cancelled months in advance now, I would agree wholeheartedly with this assumption.

Yes, Rachel confirmed they'd received the funds a couple of days ago. Nick was extremely grateful.

I ordered the new CD a few weeks ago, albeit off discogs but I suppose the artist still got paid at some point. Shame about the tour.

I don't know what cut they get from that but their preferred outlet is The Merch Desk, you can get the new CD and some other great goodies there!
