This is the ninth of a 10-part alphabetical poll to determine who's the greatest guitarist of all time across all genres of music. When the results have all come in, I'll put the top two leaders of each of the ten polls into a face-off poll to determine the overall winner of the Top 100 guitar heroes. I'll also enable multiple voting in the final face-off poll. The Top 100 Guitar Heroes list is supplied courtesy of Guitarist Magazine.

Surprised to see both Scofield and Stern on the list. I do love Pete, but he's pretty basic relatively speaking. Easy, easy vote for Sco. Two other jazz greats that never get the love they deserve, at opposite ends of the jazz spectrum; the gloriously masterful Johnny Smith and the unapologetically progressive Sonny Sharrock.
