It's... the exact same thing the Stones have been doing for way too long now.  Thumbs down from me.

Well, I liked "A Bigger Bang" because of this, exactly... They gave up experimentation and played good old fashioned Stones rock'n'roll. Thanks for your opinion!!

I liked it- I'm not sure if it's the 'best thing since Exile...' as has been claimed (for example, what was wrong with albums like 'Some Girls' and 'Tattoo You'? I thought they were brilliant) but the rockers really, for want of a better expression, kick ass. There's some neat ballads on here- 'This Place Is Empty', 'Laugh I Nearly Died' and 'Biggest Mistake'- and an awesome blues song in 'Back Of My Hand', but there is some filler too. If this was released as a single album in the 70s on vinyl, it would have been one of their best, no doubt. But songs like 'Sweet Neo Con' and 'Infamy' are not that great...3.5/5 from me!
