Maybe I'm the only person that does this, in which case this will go nowhere, but I love to zero in on phrases that are quite mundane in context, but if I consciously separate them from their context they become surreal. Sometimes they end up as lyrics.

Examples:

If you can see Lincoln's entire head it's time for new tires.

Of course this is from a tire commercial - if you stick a penny in the tread of a tire and it's shallow enough that the top of his head is fully visible the tire is worn out.

Grab some zip-ties and meet me by the metal heart.

My wife wanted me to attach a hanging flower basket to a steel heart shaped lawn ornament.

Bring a bag of dried pumpkin for Sammie the headset lady.

A post-it note my wife wrote to remind herself to do that.

I've been dropping these in the Post the last words you heard thread but I was thinking they might spark others to start noticing similar phrases that otherwise just fly past them.

^ I got this - your doctor said this to you while checking your vitals after you over-indulged on magic mushroom soup. You followed his instructions to the best of your ability.
