Exactly what it sounds like; which album do you like best?

For me, it's Foxtrot all the way.

Foxtrot, although really love Nursery too. I believe there´s no chance Nursery to win.

Love both, but Foxtrot gets the vote.

Really? I always assumed there was a rift in opinion on these two albums?

I personally can't get into Nursery Cryme like I can Foxtrot and everything after it. It's not a bad record by any means, it just doesn't do it for me like Foxtrot + SEBTP + Lamb does.

the rift is between Foxtrot and SEbtP.

Nursery Cryme, seeing 0 next to them makes me click for it.

NC took me longer to get into. It's actually a classic album in terms of the songs; Hogweed, Musical Box, Salmarcis etc.. but I had heard what I considered to be better later versions of these songs before I'd heard NC, and that made appreciating the album, to extent that it probably deserved, harder for me. Foxtrot is also a step up musically and in terms of production.

Definitely!

Also, Foxtrot production, especially the 2008 remaster, is so crystal clear. It doesn't sound like 1972, but does at the same time. Remarkable.

Nursery Cryme for me. Love that whole album. When the music is pure magic weak production or whatever is irrelevant to me. I always skip Foxtrot's a-side. Nothing for me there. Still kind of a favorite but for Horizons/Supper's Ready alone.

I’d be lying if I said Supper’s Ready isn’t what seals the deal for me. I find it perfect in every way.

This is a toughie. I agree with Blacksword in that I was more familiar with the Genesis Live versions of Hogweed and Musical Box before I heard Nursery Cryme much. I also agree with the person who said they skip the first side of Foxtrot, but then it does have Supper's Ready.
Not sure if I can decide between Musical Box, Hogweed and Salmacis vs Supper's Ready.

this is a bit difficult for me to answer because when Friede and I speak of "Nursery Cryme" we actually mean "Nursery Cryme +". we made our own version of "Nursery Cryme" with two added tracks, "Happy the Man" and "Twilight Alehouse". and this version of "Nursery Cryme" îs in my opinion superior to "Foxtrot"

To me a-side is as perfect as b. Really no bad songs in this album.

I'm not going to vote because I'm not sure. Typically I think I prefer NC but Foxtrot has SR on it.

I seriously wouldn't have bothered making this poll if I wasn't under the incorrect assumption that this would be a close call, lol.

I have to go with Foxtrot. It's a work of art. Miles ahead of Nursery Cryme

Not only is Nursery Cryme my favorite Genesis album but NC is one of my favorite albums of all time.

both about the same for me... and like pretty much all Genesis albums in general in that period..  some out of the this world good stuff..  some completely forgettable stuff.  They never did a consistent or truly great album.

Hard to choose...  go with Foxtrot for the same reasons I tend to underrate it..
