Hello all! I'm 16, I live in Sweden and.... I basicly lika progg. So thats all about me.

I Like Pink Floyd, Hawkwind, King Krimson, Camel, Frank Zappa, Weather Report and that is pretty much all bands I got albums from which I enyoy (all proggbands, I like other music to).

Anyway, could you more "experienced" people give me tips and such on good bands you think I would enjoy? Feel free to ask questions. I am as you probbably allready noticed a complete noob when it comes to my knowledge about music, but I like to think that I got good taste anyway

Welcome. The reviews are an excellent source of ammunition for making up your own mind.

First there is the classical bands which can be found on the top 50 list like Genesis, Yes, Dream Theater (well they're on the list so what do you know...)Rush, Jethro Tull and of course Floyd and Kc.

IMO you should investigate the swedish prog scene aswell we've got some very interesting bands such as: Änglagård, Anekdoten, Pain of salvation (metal), Samla Mammas Mana, Råg I Ryggen, The Flower Kings (smaken är som baken, kända men överskattade enligt min mening), Älgarnas Trädgård, Pär Lindh Project m.m

I'll second this!  There's so much great stuff coming from your home country, so you should check 'em out! Visit "Mellotronen" in Stockholm's Gamla Stan (Kåkbringen 16, I recall), that's a tru mecca for a prog/psych record collector! My faves from Sweden are ANEKDOTEN, LANDBERK, MORTE MACABRE, PAATOS and THE SPACIOUS MIND. <- I think this is my most common phrase on this site...

Your named bands cover quite a prog spectrum, so I guess you will have a broad tolerance/enjoyment of many bands. I think the suggestion for you to check out your own country's bands is a great idea. So addition, check out Jonas Hellborg (his own labels Day Eight Music and Bardo) e.g. Octave of The Holy Innocents, e; Anekdoten (their own label/website) I like all their albums: Johansson brothers (there own label Heptagon) e.g. Fjäderlösa Tvåfotingar, Fission and Heavy Machinery
