Even though Derek Sherinian is a excellent musician.

I don't know why - but I just can't enjoy anything he does. I have tried with the last 3 albums, it's all just missing something. Still trying to figure out what it is because there's so much talent and guest musicians on each record.

I have the same problem with the prog-metal genre. I know there are many good bands and artists/musicians, but I just cannot relate to their work, or enjoy their music. A matter of taste I guess.
