Seriously, I would like to see RIO, Zappa and Fusion split off from Progressive Rock and listed as a separate genre called Avant Rock. Big smile

Actually i know females who have been into the prog thing since the 70s and have turned me on to a ridiculous amount of great music including VDGG, GG etc. Extreme metal on the other hand is clearly a male led style

Half star ratings, genre specific albums versus genre specific artists.

Yes for halfstar...

But I'd propose more like bands belonging to more than one genre instead of genrefying their albums.

I would love to see Styx under an actual prog sub-genre.

Also, Mudvayne should be here, but sadly being associated with nu-metal seems to make people refuse to give them a fair chance. Ouch

Seriously: A star rating system for individual prog tracks to find out what all PA contributors think are the greatest prog tracks of all time....just like the albums.

Posted By: SteveG
Date Posted: March 20 2017 at 04:12

Seriously, half star ratings. Some albums really deserve a 3.5 instead of a 4 star rating, for example.

Punk Prog, Hip Hop Prog, R&B Prog & Boy Band Prog sub-genres to be added as a matter of urgency.

I am however against the addition of a Didgeridoo Prog sub-genre. It's the work of the devil.

This has probably been mentioned before but I am new to this thread so I don't know. However, I would say I would like to see more than one subgenre for a band. For example if a band x played more than one style why give the impression they were only smph prog or whatever.

That would be Jenna Jameson. She lacks variety, overuses the same pose and lacks lengthy solos for being considered porn-prog. Next question, please =P

I'll preferably round it out to three stars, rather than elevate it to four, but I started my reviews stating it.

Yup, this might've saved up many collabs arguments and virtual murders behind the scene (backstage)

The "recently added albums" section on the right side of the front page for new releases needs to be a scrolling frame with AT LEAST the last 20 releases included. If you can't visit the site for a couple days that list of 5 can be here and gone several times.

More swag in the vinyard and less swoof in the canal.
I would like to see Optimus Prime as the official PA mascot preferably dressed in Afghan fur, trumpet pants and a rickenbacker bass sword.
Robots should be helpful or at the very least amusing.
