^stop hurting my feelings!  I thought some of those abbreviations was rather advanced so I would have spent more time coming up with them than writing the actual titles. But then again I'm not english, I even had to use Google Translate to find that abbreviation-word - hope I'm using it correctly. Anyway GGDA? I didn't get that it was Gentle Giant debut album until it was the only left.

In a Glass House Free Hand Acquiring the Taste The Power and the Glory Octopus Interview Gentle Giant Three Friends Civilian The Missing Piece Giant for a Day Gentle Giant's one of my favorite bands, and the only one I don't like much out of these is Giant for a Day. Even that album though is better than the weaker albums of most prog bands. |

I haven't heard much of their later stuff, so I'll just keep it to Gentle Giant albums that I do know.
The band really dropped off a lot after Phil left, as far as I'm concerned. After that point they seemed to replace their soulful approach with complexity for complexity's sake. ------------- when i was a kid a doller was worth ten dollers - now a doller couldnt even buy you fifty cents |

It's the brother/sister of Free Hand. I love them both, but Interview slightly less. Interview boasts some nice rocking tracks, and the weird funkreggae of Give It Back is just so awesome, Empty City is just beautiful.
The only song on Interview I don't really care for is Design, although it's wonderfully crafted, it's too chaotic, I guess. |

Free Hand is the best album ever made. Only rivalled by Snow Goose, Thick as a Brick, Once Again and Seventh Sojourn. But Interview is like a continuation of Free Hand. Exactly the kind of music I like. |

1970-1973 is my favorite GG period. I also like Civilian. I rate it higher than both Interview and Giant for a Day. Maybe even Missing Piece.

Civilian is a seriously underrated album. It rocks very good. It's something of a rock/new wave album wich knows no rival. But almost nobody on earth knows it exists. I like when some overly progressive bands trimmed their sounds (Rush, Gentle Giant, Caravan, King Crimson). Another great album from that day and age is Drama by Yes.
