That's Me
I love the early Genesis, not even ashamed to admit it.

To Ascend really deserves a vote ☺

Heaven and Earth is my least favorite Yes album ever, and I have been a huge fan of theirs for decades.  To Ascend displays everything wrong with it.  That's Me, however, is a good tune and well worth listening to.  It got my vote.

This. Clap

FGTTR was a good album maligned by those who never heard it.

Not Prog, but had some great passages

Just listened to both for the first time and I've gotta say, I'm underwhelmed by both. Neither was a pleasant listen but I voted Genesis because I didn't have to listen as long.

Actually, it's only sinking in just now how genuinely bad that Yes track was. Dead

Sappier than a maple tree in heat and more boring than an ahead-of-schedule tunnel dig.

Even the latest Asia albums have more spunk to them! LOL

It would be the first time for me voting Genesis against Yes....but I can't...too much for me on Saturday morning, so no vote.

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Peter Gabriel was a young god and the lads were barely 18. Twas pure GENESIS magic from very start.
Young Gabriel was/is a genius. Who has the guts to say this aloud ? I can  Tongue

OP, I really donīt understand this at all, why a karaoke/corporate "yes" against the original GENESIS.
You must be joking ?
Naturally not a change.

Letīs take a step ahead...

This is probably from early 1970, ... all coming together right here and they were barely 20:

The Young Genesis was ok; good times ahead...

The old  / young Yes was ... I never thought I'd think these thoughts but it makes the (my previous least favourite moment) kiddie bit in Circus of Heaven sound like Led Zeppelin.

I hope if Yes do another album they do something with some stones (don't mean Ronnie and Charlie). Frankly Genesis I think may still have what it takes to get some decent album content together. Not so confident with Yes.

If they do not then they do become a tribute band.
