(Sorry if this has been discussed somewhere already, but I didn't find a suitable topic.)

I'm a Facebook user as I believe quite many of us are, and ProgArchives is on my list of followed pages.
Lately I've noticed that Facebook floods with ProgArchives' postings (several entries per day).
Honestly, I find this very annoying.

Such high degree of FB activity is totally useless when people most likely check the ProgArchives Forum frequently anyway (as I believe),
and therefor the news value of these FB postings is minimal. Appearing on Facebook is definitely a good thing
for PA, I'm not denying that, but perhaps there is a risk of over-activity...?
What do you think?
P.S. Well, not a big deal.
If I get annoyed by them I can
always stop getting them in my Facebook altogether.

I would think you can turn off the notifications, I don't get any.

perhaps I'm missing something... why would one go to Facebook and a Progarchives page when you can post here.  It isn't like it costs a cent to post here.

So what is the point...

Good question sir. It seems to consist of postings of new releases - to be honest I never use it but I don't get any notifications from it either.

All you have to do is unlike it and it all goes away. I never even considered mixing FB with sites like these. I prefer to come here to get my prog fix
