Won'dring Aloud always stands out as the "bad track" in the listing to me. 5 star album otherwise, though

Must. Resist. Urge. To. Vote. For. Every. Track!
Sorry, just being snarky, not a big fan of this album at all. Something about Ian Anderson's smug delivery really rubs me the wrong way on it. I still give it a listen once in a while, hoping the `magic' will suddenly happen, but it hasn't happened yet

Locomotive Breath and My God (which is getting votes somehow???) are the only particularly good tracks here. Mother Goose gets on my nerves more than the others.

I find this album to be quite good across the board so it's just a shot in the dark for me.
I'll go Slipstream.

My God is obviously one of the best tracks on this album (if not the best). What's up with you guys? Come on. Anyway, I find Aqualung to be full of filler tracks that I am not fond of, so I skip them all the time. Due to that, I simply don't know which is which. Slipstream gets the vote maybe?

I actually really like Slipstream; it's mellow and pleasant and has a good melody to it. Is it filler? Probably, but it never felt intrusive or obnoxious. There are actual songs on Aqualung that are also clearly filler and most of those are genuinely tough to listen to, much less enjoy.

Wind up. When it gets louder it sucks. Martins playing in the background and Ian's vocals at its worst. I only bother with the early version which I like

My one vote for Cheap Day Return renders Cross-Eyed Mary and Hymn 43 the two best tracks on the album, at least for the nonce. Can't say I entirely agree with that. Not my favorite Tull album but definitely in my top 10 for them.

I actually like almost every song from the album... the only ones I don't have in my IPod are "Up to me" and "Slipstream"... ufortunatley I don't remember how they sound, so I don't know which one to vote for. However, the thing with this album is, none of the tracks I have in my list comes from the original album version, I liked all of them better on alternate live versions (from Live at Montreux, Live: Bursting Out, or for the bunch of smaller less known pieces, from the Aqualung re-recorded live in the 90's... or "Wond'ring Aloud... again", which makes the song sound much more complete than just "Wond'ring Aloud").

Disc 1 Aqualung Cross eyed mary Cheap day return Mother goose Wondring aloud Up to me My god quad version Hymn 43 quad version Slipstream Locomotive breath quad version
Disc 2 Wind up early version Lick your fingers clean Just trying to be Wondring again Life is a long song Up the pool From later Slipstream 2 Dr Bogenbroom Nursie

With the different versions out there does any know if I should upgrade to Wilson's mixes or not bother? It suffered from such awful production from the get go. Great album but awful sound.
Made at the same time and neighbouring studio as Zeppelin's same era release whatever that was. ;)

wind up is probably my least favorite. Aqualung is one of my least favorite albums, only because it is over played on the radio it still has some great songs. Cross Eyed Mary, and Hymn 43 are probably my favorites on the album. That said I am always blown away by Locomotive Breath when I see Tull in concert.

Mother Goose or Wond'ring Aloud... although on the remastered version the extended version is far superior. Shame they didn't include it on the album itself.

Wilson's mixes are far superior. If you're gonna purchase a remaster this is the album you should do so. The bass line has been revived, and the sound quality itself is astounding.
