I don't tend to log in to the site very much these days Omid - I have very little influence here really - but yes, this band deserves a place in the archives, and you're not getting any response from the team after more than two weeks, so I'll chip in. I would actually be rather inclined to change the title of your topic from Neo Prog to Symphonic to be honest.  I'm not personally hearing this album as Neo Prog, and the instrumentation used goes beyond the traditional guitar/keys/bass/drums to include flute, violin and viola as well. One thing's for sure - if the word 'Symphonic' is visible, then Iván will spot it and have a listen - and even if he feels that Neo is the best place for the band after all - he will at least pass the job over directly to them in their team thread in the collab zone. He will of course need more samples than just the one YouTube video, and the album doesn't appear to be on spotify or the other popular music streaming sites as yet, so we might have to look at ways of getting some additional samples to him...Maybe that's why the Neo team have ignored the thread so far? Anyway, let's see if he comments here first - and we can take it from there if he does.

LOL! It is very limited what I can actually achieve on the site with my rather primitive prog knowledge Omid, but I have it on good authority that this suggestion has now been passed directly to the Neo Prog boys in their team thread in the collab zone. Hopefully there will soon be a PA tab on your progfreak link, and the evaluation won't take long to complete, but I must add here that there has been no activity whatsoever in the Neo Prog team's 'New' chart on progfreak for around three months, when Roj added http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=103909" rel="nofollow - Breeze (another of your suggestions - which is now nearly eight months old) to their evaluation list. I get the feeling that the Neo Prog team are now carrying out their evaluations solely within their team thread, and not using progfreak at all - despite Keishiro recently rejoining the team, and impressively quickly casting his vote for all the evaluations that are still outstanding in the Neo Prog 'New' chart on progfreak.  However, none of the other team members have logged into progfreak for several months now, and http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=103685&PID=5336778#5336778" rel="nofollow - Roads To Damascus have just been added to the database ( http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=9831" rel="nofollow - http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=9831 ) without the band ever having been included in the Neo Prog chart on progfreak. That particular thread is now locked, so I can't ask the question there...but if someone in authority could give us guys out here some guidance on how the outstanding, and any new Neo Prog evaluations will be conducted and tracked from now on, it would be very much appreciated. Hi. I agree with you about Keishiro. He active Neo Prog Team again after long time and IMO keishiro doing his job perfectly. I'm talking honestly. I don't know anything about problems between Neo Prog Team members and Progfreak. I really like to know about it IF they like to talk about it and if they don't want to talk about it , I respect to them and never ask again.

I just came from vacations today (We always leave a week before Christmas) and found the suggestion a couple hours ago . Honestly I listen more spacey Neo Prog....But it's a Prog band and Symphonic enough for me. I will notify my team, but my vote is YES. Iván

Three young musicians - Sroka, Berda, & Tomaszewski formed a band called "Hands". After a few months, the band was joined by other members. In the meantime, the first song was created "Kingdom of Dream". The summer of 1996 the band had already composed six songs and won the local review of rock 'Garażówka 96'. The prize was to record the song in the studio of Radio Plus. In autumn 1996 the band recorded the song "Waves", and a few months later all the songs were recorded in the Municipal House of Culture in Ruda Slaska. This material was sent to the factory dealing with the progressive rock in Poland. Music was accepted positively. It took 2 more songs that were written in the spring of 1997. The publisher suggested changing the band name to "Thrilos" - Greek for "Legend", which was accepted. In autumn 1997 Thrilos began recording in the studio, "Radioaktywni" in Czestochowa. The album was to be mastered and released in 1998. Unfortunately, publishers have switched to other genres and resigned from the issue of recordings. The material was shelved for almost 20 years ..."  When I was a kid first listening to music there were only a hundred or so bands or artists of ALL genres to choose from (and prog didn't even exist back then) - now there are 10,000 prog bands on this site ALONE...and probably more than twice as many again who are almost prog...but who didn't quite make it here!  |
