In 1972 the Danish band Savage Rose released Dødens Triumf (Triumph of Death) - a mainly instrumental concept album about the European Union.

Anybody heard this over-looked (unknown?) prog classic?

I have been listening to it over and over again during the last few weeks and I like it more and more.

It's a superb album - completely unlike anything else they ever did (which
was mainly psychedelic pop to start with, then R&B-tinged rock, and
finally folkier stuff). As a footnote, "Dødens Triumf" was reissued in 1979
as a DOUBLE album, with their complete score to the ballet (including lots
of great unreleased tracks). This version was withdrawn immediately after
release, and is extremely rare today - a copy would set you back £300.00
or so.

When I grew up in Denmark, when this came out,it was on the top 25 for about a full year.

Now ,it was not exactly my cup of tea ,but they did something to stir the masses .(There)
