As far as I'm aware, these four are the only activities that could prevent Alzheimer's.

If cerebral exercise prevents, or even helps, Alzheimer's, then it should be front-line prevention for anyone at risk for dementia.   Is there strong evidence for that though?   I tend to think mental calisthenics are very effective but I know of no conclusive research on it .

Since last year's summer I've spent a lot of time on a great site dedicated to trivia, crosswords, brain twisters and the like, and truly hope all the mental gymnastics I'm doing will prevent any deterioration of my brain in the future. Unfortunately, as David pointed out, there's no definitive scientific evidence of that.

Is there any evidence that any cerebral activities will prevent Alzheimers? (not that I expect condor to revisit this thread to answer that)

I did read recently that scientists found a chemical in red wine that can help prevent it, unfortunately you would have to drink 1200 bottles a day to get it in sufficient quantity, which may not be entirely beneficial to your overall health.

Alzheimer's cannot be prevented , it can only be delayed. Current research suggests that other lifestyle changes are far more beneficial than mental exercise.

Still, staying agile mentally surely can't hurt.
