This has probably been asked before, so apologies for that. I've been posting a lot of reviews on various other websites, but have been re-writing a lot of them as I go along. I'd like to post the new, updated versions here, but as I'd also like a new name, and I'm too lazy to actually "edit" each review I've already posted, I'm not sure if it'd be easier to just delete my account and start over?

If I delete my account, will my reviews disappear? Otherwise they'll be two almost-identical reviews for each album.

To be honest, this whole question seems a bit odd, probably doesn't make any sense, to be honest I don't really even know what I'm asking, myself. Embarrassed

^ As far as I know you can't delete your account, and I don't think simply starting a new one or changing your user name will disappear your reviews.

I'm sure an Admin or ex-Admin can address your needs.

Surely I can delete my account?

Would just mean having to start completely anew. Which isn't too bad, I don't post here much and I doubt anyone would really recognize me anyway.

^ But I don't think your old account goes away.

Only a Jedi can erase those files.

If I remember correctly, you can delete your reviews, though the rating will remain. The Admins can delete your account - which will also delete your reviews, but also all of your posts. There has been also at least one case of a member (and former Collab) who was allowed to take up a new ID, but whose old ID was not deleted. In any case, I think the best thing to do is to talk to an Admin, and go from there.

Ok, let's see. Since the recent forum updates some things have changed, specifically I can't change usernames. So now if you want to start anew and if you have those updated reviews saved somewhere, I can deactivate your current account and delete all the reviews on it and you can open a new one with a new name. That way there won't be duplicated reviews for the albums.

Yeah that sounds good then! Can we make that happen please?

And, I guess, goodbye everyone! See ya soon! Beer

Ok, will do. I'm deactivating the account and deleting all of the reviews from the old username in a couple of minutes.

EDIT: And they're gone.

You will be forgotten, take comfort in that if it makes you feel better.  We sill not throw a pitty party for you.... Try to put tin some good reviews before you check out.  Maybe then there will be something to renumber you by.
