Hi everybody, I'm new on the board, really like the forum. So I was listening to this sample collage a few years ago and has my ear litteraly blown by this short extract of a song :

I don't know what group it is, don't even know the title of the song, if you guys can help me on this one. Sounds like 70's prog, the way that the Moog synth is being played, the tempo , the textures of the drum etc..

I've been lookin for this for a pretty long time now.

Thanks very much for helping me solve this

Definitely has a retro style to it,  but it might not be a 70's band. There are quite a few new bands emulating that style.
I don't know what it is and I have most of the old stuff on cd and vinyl. Hopefully one of the members here will recognize it.

Vocalist kind of reminds me of Ashley Holt of Rick Wakeman fame.  Possibly something from his band Warhorse.  Probably nothing more than just a wild ass guess.

Ashley Holt and Wakeman came to my mind as well, but the sound quality doesn't fit with Wakeman's perfectionism.

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Pretty sure that's English, very early 70s. Sounds a bit like Capability Brown.

Just listened to it. Sounds like it's from the late '70s/early '80s or as others have suggested, possibly a modern act trying to sound retro.

Sitting at my window pane I can see the whole way down
Listen to the falling rain for hours up in the room
Crazy people, empty faces are the mirrors in the rain
Burnt out in their golden cages, in sorrow, age and pain.

This is my own transcription;  Searched the words and nothing solid has come up yet.

Sounds very early 80s - neo-progish. Cortana has no clue what the song is either. The quality makes me think it's a demo take or a no label band.

The drum track sounds uncharacteristic of the time though. The sample usage at the end gives away this was probably a modern track though - had to be 90s at the earliest.

The drum roll at the end is not part of the track. Since this extract came from a sample collage, this is another song who starts

The collage is "Budapest Synth Orchestra" by Sid Roams, a duo of hip hop producers (they produced a lot for Prodigy of Mobb Deep and Infamous Mobb). They are heavy on prog samples/italian horror movies, I think you guys will recognise a lot of tracks there.

Movement I (the song we are lookin starts at 7:30)

Movement II
