Anarchism and communism are my personal preferences, but objectively I believe fascism would be the best for the world as a whole.

No one ideology is best by itself. It's the balance of two or three that would be best. Life is about harmony, not monopoly. I'm Canadian, so a bit Socialist, a bit Libertarian and a bit Anarchist.

Yeah,,,,I'm no expert on politics but Condor's poll is odd. He has 2 nationalist spots but no conservative just neo -con and then he combined centrist with liberal which should have been separated.
Confused

He has center-right there, but no far-right or alt-right. He's also missing neo-liberal, which is a different thing than neo-con (and the two aren't mutually exclusive). Oh, and monarchist

Socialist is the closest to me but I don't really fit into any of these very well. I believe in progressive taxation and socialized medicine and things like that.I do believe in having a free market but I think non-progressive capitalism as a primary economic system promotes the idea that the right to live is tied to working, where I think the right to live is inherent in your existence, regardless of your work ethic. I believe in democracy, though I think, ideally, most laws would be based on humanitarian principles.

I was Green Party until I moved to Oklahoma and there was no Green Party, so I registered as Democrat. I would have picked Green, but it doesn't represent an ideology per se really. I picked Socialist. Go Bernie!!!

In Britain, liberal means neither left-wing or right-wing i.e. centrist.

No it doesn't. The conservative party in Britain is center. The lib-dems are left. Don't believe everything you read on wikipedia.

Also note that the Overton window is shifting right again in Europe (see for instance Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, Greece)

Green-ish, given the "package deal" that most political ideologies are by necessity. I'm not sure I go all the way with all the policies of the current Aussie Green political party but it seems to be the best of a bad lot these days, since the demise of the Australian Democrats (which I would have placed as centrist-liberal).

This poll reminds me how much I love that the "Liberal" political party here in Australia with it's conservative position on the ideological spectrum (the more so under the current leadership) so predictably surprises visitors from overseas, especially visitors from the USA where to be a "liberal" apparently means something quite different.

Someone explained to me that ideologies could be easily broken down into the size of central government, the further left you go the bigger government is with things like welfare and socialized medicine, and the further right the less government eliminating those things plus more like IRS and CDC. I will go in order of extreme left to extreme right.

Totalitarianism, communism, socialism, liberalism, moderate(middle), conservatism, libertarianism, and anarchism.

The first option comes nearest. I was raised in a liberal family and that has influenced me to this day - to a certain extent. For the remainder, I turned rather conservative and just a bit left of the centre. From a cultural point of view, I am a nationalist and I am convinced that there is a strong underlying demonic influence behind all those discussions concerning Dutch cultural and folkloristic issues. And I am rabiately anti-EU. I do believe that if the Netherlands, or any other EU country, don't get themselves out of this Evil Union, they will atone for it sooner or later.

You're both right but condor is more righter. In the UK liberal does mean centrist.

It's all relative so comparisons between countries is not an exact science, what is seen as as centre in one country would be regarded as more left-wing in some countries and more right-wing in some others. The USA for example is more right-wing than the UK so everything in the UK seems to be shifted to the left by comparison.

Since most countries the western world are classified as a Liberal Democracies it could be argued that all the major parities in those countries are essentially liberal.

None.

I have in the past swung from being what you might call in the US, a libertarian to almost a complete Marxist. Both the left and right have apsects of ideology I loathe. I hate the rights apparent dismissiveness of anyone who isn't at least a millionaire and their often open racism, and I'm troubled by the lefts tunnel vision worship of political correctness at what ever cost to anything, including the emotional development of children, just so they can stand by what is actually a heavily nuanced and caveated principle.

I tend to think "f**k em all" at the end of the day to be honest..

This one is slightly better, though a couple of the questions are pretty idiotic ("Tighter regulation would have prevented the collapse of the lending industry" and "Unions were indispensible for the establishment of the middle class" are both factual statements, not political positions)

They add a few more degrees of analysis. Here's my results:

Foreign Policy: -1.89
Culture: 5.38

That's an astute observation. I'm from the old school where we just put things in our mouths and hope for the best. Sometimes I listen for chocolate cake, but that doesn't seem to work as well it used to, especially since most things I eat from the yard don't taste like chocolate cake.

Perhaps you should put some thought into making chocolate cake that doesn't sound like dog poop.

However, there is an easier solution that will solve your problem, and that is white dog poop.(Okay, you may have to avoid white chocolate cake, but that's no hardship, white chocolate is pretty disgusting at best). You don't see white dog poop any more but 30 to 40 years ago it was quite common. So if you can remember seeing white dog poop on the sidewalk then that's a good indication that you are old. When I was at school in the 60s it was commonly accepted that white dog poop was produced by poodles, but poodles still exist yet white dog poop is a thing of the past. The colour of poop is determined by what ever has been eaten by the pooch and white dog poop is an indication of a high calcium diet, derived from eating bones. Now this isn't entirely fool proof (because there are some pretty resourceful fools out there), the poop as it exits the rear of the dawg is not white, it's standard dog poop colour and thus could st6ill be confused with chocolate cake, the whiteness is a result of the poop aging in the sun and rain as the soluble components of the poop leach out leaving the calcium of the undigested bone behind. So you have to wait a few days before not eating it.

Thank you. That's a particularly interesting solution. I just need to reschedule my yard grazing and make sure my chocolate cake doesn't eat bones. I'm familiar with white dog poop and remember a yard full of it back in the 1970s when I was smaller than I am now. I wouldn't necessarily say it's a thing of the past, though it is considerably rare these days. I see evidence in my own poop in the yard after I've had a meal of bones a few days before.

One thing white dog poop was notorious for was that it was regularly mistaken for graffiti, something my father always punished us for when we left scrapings off our shoes all over the side of the house. We eventually learned and just left it on our shoes when we came into the house. Dad thought we were just gassy, Mom never noticed.

I also like chocolate cake and grazing in the yard for dog poop.

How do you tell the two apart?

One tastes better than the other. Chocolate cake doesn't last very long in the yard either.

I'd consider consulting at least two of the other four senses before relying on taste... then a dog that can fool sight and smell could probably be a finalist on America's Got Talent.

So you have to wait a few days before not eating it.

looks a lot more like NOW than 2012, especially with what's going on.
