Does anybody know what pedal Robert Fripp used on Starless and Epitaph? It's one of the most beautiful tones I've ever heard.

Sounds like a series 2 ElectroHarmonix Big Muff - but it's not just the pedal, it's the whole recording chain, from Fripp's fingers, the '59 Gibson Les Paul Custom, volume pedal, Hiwatt Amplifier, microphone etc. etc.
I've managed to get pretty close using a Gibson es335 through an old Coloursound germanium Tonebender into an Orange valve combo amp - but as Fripp himself says, it's mostly in the hands and mind of the player.
