My choice remains the same almost four years later, but there are many that I love on the list. That said, I would not express my choice so emphatically these days. I mean an exclamation mark, seriously? I used to be much more wild in those days.
...ah that youthful enthusiasm

There's about ten albums here I really like - and some of those I love. Not certain what I would have voted for four years ago. But I know it certainly wouldn't have been So Far - the one among these I've listened to the most for the last couple of years. So its So Far by far. Its highly addictive once it gets under your skin. An awesome soundspace to fill your headspace with. I don't know if that is something any native speakers of english would write but as its a foreign language to me I think it looks exactly like what I wanted to formulate. Behind Faust the rest of a top ten would contain Agitation Free, Popol Vuh, Curved Air, Gnidrolog, Balletto, Bo Hansson, Brainticket, Neu! & Osanna...

Palepoli with Neu! and Little Red Record close behind.
Categories strain, crack and sometimes break, under their burden - step out of the space provided.

You're killing me.  How am I expected to choose between the Curved Air, the Ange, Khan, Il Balleto di Bronzo, the Strawbs best album & Little Red Record.  I don't have a 6 sided coin or any dice.  Narrow it down to The Strawbs & Curved Air and toss a coin:  Grave New World.

Moving Waves was actually recorded and released in 1971 not 1972 (released as "Focus II" in The Netherlands)...the PA site has had the wrong release year from the start of its inclusion...will someone please change this?
