Via their MySpace samples sounds like post-punk / electro tinged with some rock flavour.
Quite difficult for us to approve them as avant-prog or eclectic.

Any more samples (a full-length album is finer)?

Did you listen to all three tracks? There's a lot going on. It starts as the electronic thing with punk/metal guitars but it has jazz and funk and surf rock with strange barber shop vocals. Gosh, i think this is perfect for an eclectic category. Sounds more prog than many other things i've heard that are on PA.

Unfortunately there's not much about this band on the web period. I do not own their albums but am interested in checking them out. RYM has labelled them as avant-prog and i find their categorization is usually spot on.

If you didn't listen to all three songs in their entirety i advise you to to do so, if you have then i don't have anything else to add other than why?

The way the music shifts from one genre to another is similar to Mr Bungle or Pryapisme.
It's soooo prog!

Don't really see it belonging somewhere other than one of the metal subgenres

There is a decent piece on them here: http://www.avantgarde-metal.com/content/bands2.php?id=22. The mp3s on the band's website are mostly just short snippets. Some additional full-track samples will be needed in order to take this any further, but as has already been stated, there isn't much available on the web about these guys - or music by them, it seems.  Ermm

Hey! Did you all miss my posting where i said i spoke too soon? I found their website with all their albums on MP3 for all to hear.

http://www.brachialilluminator.com/Mp3.php

They are much more than metal. They seem to mix metal with electronica and some kind of polka type jazz with other embelleshments. I can't believe it's not obvious from what i've heard

Yeah - I saw it and checked the MP3s.  As I just mentioned in the post above yours, they are mostly just short snippets...Just one complete song per album. Not enough material to base an evaluation on, unfortunately.  Unhappy

So do you have to listen to entire albums before you can add them to the archives? From what i've heard it sounds like a progressive enough band to me. Enough metal to at least qualify for a slot in the experimental metal section. Anyway, since i've discovered them i'm really diggin their stuff. Thanks for checking them out Clown

Not necessarily entire albums (though this is always preferable if possible), but a reasonable number of complete compositions from a representative selection of their output. We have just three songs out of twelve available on myspace from their latest album alarm! blaulicht in rio (2011), and just one full track from each of the other two via their website. I agree with you that this band has the potential to be added here, but we need at least some more full-track samples to be made available somehow. Ermm

I agree. In fact I think the qualifying criteria for addition to PA needs to be even more robust these days.
