Just wondering how many albums you all own from each prog subgenre, just to see what the most popular are Smile If, like me, your prog collection is still countable, please just take a couple of minutes to work it out Big smile Mine are:

Canterbury Scene - 5
Crossover Prog - 6
Eclectic Prog - 8
Heavy Prog - 8
Post/Math Rock - 1
Prog Folk - 3
Progressive Metal - 1
Progressivo Rock Italiano - 1
Psychedelic/Space Rock - 4
RIO/Avant-Prog - 1
Symphonic Prog - 17

(It's a start Smile) Keen to see what yours are! Tongue

Hi,

At last count about 2000 LP's and 1500 CD's.

I don't give a crap what their style is! It's all music I love!
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Fun exercise, I stay pretty close to PA's definitions except I rate the subgenre of every album rather than every band.  For example, I like to be able to classify ITCOTCK as eclectic and Red as heavy Wink

Symphonic - 172
Eclectic - 114
Tech/Extreme Prog Metal - 62
Heavy - 58
Psychedelic/Space Rock - 42
Neo Prog - 41
RIO/Avant - 34
Crossover - 30
RPI - 25
Post Rock/Math Rock - 20
Prog Electronic - 16
Experimental/Post Metal - 16
Canterbury - 15
Prog Folk - 13
Jazz Fusion - 9
Krautrock - 5
Zeuhl - 3
Indo Raga - 0
Prog Metal - 0
