Topic: Ads wrecking the layout Posted: October 25 2013 at 18:23 |
I have noticed of late on my computer the thin ads such as the one with te guy chopping the tree are wrecking the layout. All the posts under it are all thin columns and very hard to read. Not sure whats causing it but of recent weeks the layout is columned in one long column under such ads. Is there any way to rectify the settings?

I've not had this problem but the recent Metallica film ad had enough flashing lights to induce a headache and the one on this page at the moment, AFI Burials, annoyingly starts playing the album if you hover over it.

Yeah it was ads like that which made me start using Ad Block. I'm all for site revenue, but there's only so much I will put up with.

Just get Firefox and Ad Blocker. Firefox is also probably the better browser out there, you'd be better off with it It also gets rid of those annoying Youtube adverts...

I know about AdBlocker and use it at home, unfortunately we can only use IE at work and it's locked down so I can't install anything else.
