German band Puppenhaus released one album back in 1973, which should be a shoe-in at PA methinks. With loads of influences spanning from Crimson to Tull to Zappa - this record effortlessly swoops through a wide variety of different sonic textures. I do however think that the overriding principles within the music remain jazzy. The "album" is in fact one of the now infamous SWF sessions coming outta Germany, that featured somewhat obscure artists such as Kollektiv, Jud's Gallery and Odin.
I realize these guys were suggested a good while ago, and while I see a lot of agreement about including them on the site, there's still no trace of them(and the old thread is locked) http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=63997
Here's the whole album: Here's a small snippet taken from the Green-Brain site:
As with my earlier suggestion Cyclopedian, I'll drop this by the apt authorities |
