Early digital synth video: 1977 Bell Alles Machine

   Just a curiosity I found in YT.

Although the first commercial digital synth seems to be the 1974 RMI Harmonic Synthesizer

this 1977 Bell Laboratories Alles Machine seems to be also a precursor of digital synths such as the Synclavier and Fairlight.

Although it was not commercialized, the concept was taken over by Crumar / DKI and developed into the rare 1978 GDS synth, which predated the Synclavier II and Fairlight but apparently was not successful (costing $30,000 probably not a surprise).

	So many interesting synths were released from the 1970s to the mid 1980s. I really love the synths from that era. My favorite early digital synths were the PPG WAVES. Tangerine Dream used them a lot on albums like "Exit", "Hyperborea" and "White Eagle". Edgar Froese used them on his solo albums from the early eighties too, like "Stuntman" and "Pinnacles".
