Hi,

Did Sherri request the Peter Banks thread removed? I was even thoughtful enough to give her a pat in the back, since she has been posting so much to help gain interest ... and now it feels like a meaningless gesture.

I see the post was removed and even the search tool won't bring it up.

There was already a Peter Banks R.I.P. thread started.  I believe that an admin moved your post into that thread.  Look here. http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=92443&PN=3

Hi,

Thanks ...

It's getting really hard to know where to post things in here ... and when people move things and not say anything, makes it harder.

I agree that it is news, but if it was Peter Gabriel or Keith Emerson, it would be in a different location, and I imagine we could fix that better!

Thx

Maybe a thread for these things would be better ... but not sure we all want to do just that ... though I find nothing wrong with paying respects for a life ... that gave many of us so much joy!

With high profile news such as the sad demise of PB, it's reasonable to assume there will be an existing thread on the matter. It only takes a couple of seconds to search for the name to see if that is the case. Surely it is clear that this is sad news. Hopefully no such issue will arise for PG or KE for many many years to come!

There was already a Peter Banks RIP thread made many, many hours earlier in the morning. Yours was the second duplicate since then which in why I reported it to Admin. It was also in the wrong section. And as Easy says, such high profile news is almost bound  to have been reprted.
