Recommend one even if you don't know them all.
Pure Reason Revolution might take this simply because they are more well known.
For me it's between one of the top four on the list plus Out Of Focus. I'll vote later.

`Smell of Incense' all the way!! What a lovely schizophrenic psychedelic folk stunner, with charming male/female vocals (and some pretty wonky ones too! ), and overloaded with thick Mellotron - what's not to like?!

Extra points for the modern influences scattered throughout the album as well!

Damn...October Eqqus could use a vote...but U Totem's debut is here. Thus, it won't be coming from me!

Ozric.  It's one of the few albums I have by them, but it's my favorite.  Haven't really gotten into U-Totem or Out of Focus, and I don't know that Popol Vuh album but I do like them.  I'm unfamiliar with the rest.

Well i kind of expected Pure Reason Revolution to get lots of votes but U Totem is currently tied with them surprisingly. A pleasannt surprise though. I gave it 4.5 and this band is a combination of 5UU'S and Motor Totemist Guild. Somehow with the female vocals(Emily Hay) i was reminded of Thinking Plague.

Listed under Crossover but i keep this album with my Psychedelic records. It's the only one i have by this band. An interesting album with those harmonies and male and female vocals. Some heaviness mixed in the spacey stuff. I remember the buzz when this first came out.

You and Jon take U Totem but i wanted to mention October Equus that you and Eugene brought up. A Spanish instrumental band who play a dark and intense style of music. In fact i remember one year playing this at Halloween along with Heresie for the kids who were coming and going. The music has angular and distorted guitar, some mellotron and excellent drumming. I gave it 4.5 stars. Very powerful and complex.

It is easily their best album.  It is the only one that I know from the list, but I do really enjoy it, so I will give it a vote.

Yeah i have to vote them too. These Norwegiens are incredible and as you say Michael the mellotron is thick. This is the only one of the list i've given 5 stars to although there;s a few 4.5 star ones too. Kind of a Psychedelic / Folk album i'd guess you'd say. Their best in my opinion.

Yep, I have all their others, and although they all have their fragmented beauty and excellent moments, that `Deeper Slumber' one is where pretty much everything fell into place...probably by accident really!

But it's a shame they never returned to the modern/electronic elements blended with folk that made much of that album sound so inventive.

Still, they're a great band, hopefully we get another newie from them sometime in the near future!

Oh man i'd have to say Setna was my runnerup here but it was hard not to vote for them. Love the electric piano in that one. And yeah that double album from Out Of Focus is really good. Not my fav from them but i really like it.
Sorry i'm slow to respond this time, i was off yesterday because of the freezing rain so i did a Lord Of The Rings-fest yesterday, watching all three movies back to back to back. Can't wait to check out the new one that is pre-Lord of The Rings.

It's the only live Ozrics i have so i don't know how fans rate it compared with their other live ones but it's a really good one.

Oh yes. I think I'd give it 4.5 as well. Only topped by Saturnal.
